Liberty Girls Lacrosse Club
        Team Rules /Expectations

1. All players behave and play as a team.
2. Players are expected to fully commit to this club as though it is a varsity sport.
3. All players agree to abide by the bylaws of this club.
4. Every effort will be made to get all players in every game.
5. Playtime will be based on player attitude, attendance, tardiness,
sportsmanship, effort and, to some degree, performance.
6. Always be courteous and sportsmanlike to fellow teammates, captains,
opponents, referees, coaches, parents and spectators.
7. Each player is responsible to keep up to date on a daily basis with practice, game and
meetingschedules.
8. Communication will be predominantly  through email and school bulletin. If a player has no
email access, they are responsible for partnering with someone who has access. Players are to
keep their email folders open.
9. Coaches have right to suspend a player having academic difficulty after discussion with
parent/guardian.
10. All players are to report to practice 15 minutes prior to practice time, one hour before
home games, and idle time is to be spent throwing and catching.
11. Practices start at time stated promptly- beginning with captains and warm-ups.
Any player arriving after warm-ups have started is considered tardy.
12. All players and drivers are to report to agreed meeting place for away games one
half hour before stated departure.
13. Players are required to have and will be responsible for supplying their own stick(s)
(shaft,head,web), eye protection gear, mouth guard, practice apparel, and turf shoes or
cleats (no metal).The club may have some equipment at a discount.Goalies are responsible
for the same only. All equipment must meet US Lacrosse standards.
14. All coaches are required to file for Criminal Record and Child Sexual Abuse histories.
15. There are to be no cell phones turned on or used at practice unless approved by the
coaching staff.
16. Jewelry is not allowed during practices or games.
17. No cursing, alcoholic beverages, illicit drug use, smoking is allowed.
18. If a player is to arrive late or must be absent, she is to notify a coaching staff member
through speaking live by phone ½ hour before practices and 24 hours before games. Leaving
email and phone messages are not accepted. Head Coach will have the authority to decide as to whether
excuses are reasonable and whether they will affect playtime.
19. When asked to be substituted or be removed from a game/scrimmage, players will promptly remove
themselves from the field with no arguments.
20. Players are to give their undivided attention to the coaching staff during instruction as they apply to all
players. No talking during instructions. Any disruptive players will be separated from the group.
21. All lacrosse balls are to be counted and retrieved at the end of each session as a team. Players who shoot
and miss will retrieve their own ball unless otherwise instructed. Players who miss a pass will retrieve the ball,
regardless of how bad the pass was. This is a team.
22. All uniforms must be cleaned before each game. All uniforms must be returned at the end of the season
promptly. Players are not permitted to alter the uniforms (e.g. add names, logos).Seniors have the option to keep
theirs or donate it to the team.
23. All players are expected to attend all field trips and observation games.
24. All players are expected to fully cooperate with fundraising events, and attempt to fulfill minimum sales
requirements or agree to pay the remainder in dues equivalent to profit where appropriate.
25. Any clothing bearing our club’s name is prohibited unless approved by the Board.
